Ahead of his show for Small Talk with fellow Bristolian Shanti Celeste in October, Chris Farrell has recorded hopefully the first of many Wire Mixes.

We think that Chris is one of the most important figures of the UK underground. As Idle Hands reaches its tenth year of establishment (a huge feat for any business, never mind the typically hopeless endeavour of running a record shop), Chris has made an impression on thousands of music fans with his astute curation and thoughtful recommendations. The shop’s label, too, has prolifically brightened and transformed the electronic music landscape, recently reaching its 50th release milestone. House, dubstep, techno, illbient, electro – it’s all there.

This mix reflects this fervently on-the-pulse side of Chris, showcasing a lot of brand new music that you may not have heard before – a bit like flicking through the racks of his shop in Bristol’s St Pauls…

All of our mixes will be broadcast another brand new venture on KMAH Radio. With future shows we hope to host more quality original recordings from both renowned and lesser-known selectors, special off-the-cuff live appearances from the weekend’s guests, live recordings from club nights and shows hosted by our lovely staff and residents. Tune in every fourth Friday at 4pm via www.kmah-radio.com.
